Fever and Headaches

There are many things that you should and shouldn’t do whilst pregnant to keep your baby healthy when growing inside you. Not one person will be the same, and it is difficult to tell a pregnant woman what is a 100 percent right for her and her baby.

There are common dos and don’ts and sometimes women will experience common symptoms. Symptoms such as vomiting and feeling lethargic will occur for many women as will headaches and fever.

Fever and headaches usually come on during the first trimester of pregnancy. Many women experience this pain and find it difficult to remove the headache. Pregnant women should be very cautious as to what pain relief medication they take. You should check the label of paracetamol for headache relief and stick to the dosage. You should be sure to check with your doctor what medication might have an effect on your baby, and steer clear of these drugs.

These headaches and high fever can be experienced during the first and even last trimesters of pregnancy and can be a common occurrence. They are mainly due to increased blood volume in the body, hormonal changes and initial stress of carrying a baby. Poor posture is also a cause of headaches so you should be sure to wear comfortable shoes and sit upright as much as possible whilst you are pregnant.
